About Minakami Sanso

"Hinoki no Yado Minakami Sanso" is a scenic hot spring ryokan tucked away at the deepest point of Tanigawa Onsen in Minakami Town, Tone District, Gunma Prefecture, offering a breathtaking panorama of Mount Tanigawa. Its three private hot spring sources, certified as a "five-star" property by the Japan Onsen Association, are 100% free-flowing natural hot spring water with absolutely no added water, heating, or recirculation. The indoor baths at the men's bath, Tono no Yu, are lavishly built with ancient hinoki over 2,000 years old, while the women's bath, Hime no Yu, also lets you enjoy beautiful-grained hinoki in the indoor bath. Large Public Bath Tono no Yu / Hime no Yu

The men's bath, Tono no Yu, features lavish indoor baths accented with extremely rare ancient hinoki over 2,000 years old, while the women's bath, Hime no Yu, also uses high-quality hinoki in abundance. Certified as a Japan Onsen Association top-rated "five-star" property, these baths are filled with three fresh private hot spring sources, all 100% free-flowing with absolutely no added water or heating. Open-Air Bath Sennnengan no Yu / Gekkou no Yu

These two rustic open-air baths, the men's Sennnengan no Yu and the women's Gekkou no Yu, are directly connected from the indoor baths. The water is also smooth, fully free-flowing spring water from the source. With the slopes of Mount Tanigawa and the beautiful mountain range spreading out before you, you can linger over a long, relaxing soak while enjoying the clear blue sky and birdsong during the day, or the star-filled night sky and the cool breeze of Tanigawa at night, offering a luxurious sense of calm that makes you forget everyday life.
