A remarkably abundant weakly alkaline spring that bubbles up spontaneously from deep within the Taisetsu mountain range, at the foot of Mount Tomuraushi, yielding over 100 liters per minute. To preserve the quality of the water, it is cooled by a heat exchanger and adjusted with a moderate amount of added water, then filled continuously into the baths as 100% free-flowing spring water with no heating and no recirculation. Surrounded by primeval forest and overlooking the clear Yutomuraushi River, the powerful open-air bath is lit up at night, creating an especially magical atmosphere.
