There are two public baths, a rock bath and a Mikage stone bath, and both are paired with a riverside open-air bath where the soothing murmur of the Kurobe River can be heard. The hot spring water is drawn from the Kuro Nagi source upstream on the Kurobe River, and is colorless, clear, and extremely gentle on the skin, making it popular as the "tsubetsube beauty bath."
