About Sun Urashima Yukinosato

"Toba Honura Onsen Ryokan Sun Urashima Yukinosato" is an onsen ryokan in Toba City, Mie Prefecture. The only place in the Ise-Shima area with two different in-house hot spring sources, "Jukou no Yu" and "Shin Jukou no Yu," it lets guests enjoy beautifying waters in a wide variety of baths. After warming up thoroughly in the compact sauna, you can cool down in the cold plunge bath in the outdoor area and then restore your mind and body with a relaxing open-air bath experience that feels like forest bathing. It also offers unique private baths, including an open-air bath with karaoke, as well as guest rooms with hot spring baths, esthetic treatments, and bedrock baths.

Hot SpringONSEN

Public Bath Jukou no Yu

An in-house hot spring source that began flowing from the grounds in 1989 and boasts the oldest history in the Toba area. The clear, faintly milky water is characterized by its smooth, highly alkaline texture. It can be enjoyed in the indoor public bath and in outdoor baths such as the Dannaiyo Bath (utase open-air bath). When you soak in it, the water feels as if it gently clings to your skin, and after bathing your skin becomes amazingly smooth. It is expected to have strong beautifying and warming effects.

Outdoor Bath Shin Jukou no Yu

A newer in-house hot spring source that began flowing in 2014. The slightly whitish water is even more alkaline, offering an exquisite, viscous texture on the skin. It is used in a wide variety of outdoor baths such as the Rock Open-air Bath Ababai Bath and the Great Boiling Hot Bath Musanko Bath. In an open space surrounded by rich nature, you can enjoy the mellow feel of the water while truly refreshing yourself and recovering from fatigue.

Private Outdoor Bath Jukou no Yu

Three types of private baths where you can fully enjoy your own time. Urarasansan is an open-air bath attached to a karaoke room, San no Yu is an outdoor bath outside the building where you can enjoy forest bathing, and SAISEKI no Yu is an indoor bath perfect for relaxing with the family. All use the in-house hot spring source, allowing you to luxuriously and privately enjoy high-quality beautifying water without worrying about others around you.

Guest Room Open-air Bath Jukou no Yu

A private bath in luxurious guest rooms with hot spring baths, available in the upper floors of the main building and in the annex Mizunohoshi. With guest-room baths such as cypress baths and ancient cypress baths, each with its own distinct design, you can enjoy the in-house source "Jukou no Yu" to your heart's content. While taking in the magnificent view of Ise Bay spread out before you and feeling the sea breeze on your skin, you can soak in beautifying water whenever you like, experiencing the finest hospitality and a deeply private sense of relaxation.

SaunaSAUNA

01SAUNA

Marobine-an Sauna

Men'sWomen's

A compact dry sauna attached to the public bath "Marobine-an." The wooden benches give it a warm feel, and you can quietly work up a sweat in the calm lighting. The room is wrapped in a pleasantly warm heat, letting you slowly feel your body warm from the core. During less crowded hours, it is almost like a private booking, allowing for a peaceful time with a strong sense of privacy.

Cold BathCOLD BATH

01COLD BATH

Marobine-an Outdoor Cold Plunge Bath

Men'sWomen's

A compact cold plunge bath set in the outdoor area. Its defining feature is an exceptionally gentle feel on the skin, with a coolness that seems to softly envelop your body. It lets you cool down a body that has been thoroughly warmed in the sauna with mild, refreshing stimulation. Right next to the cold plunge bath are a bench and a reclining area, where you can enjoy an open-air bath while listening to the natural sounds of the surrounding bamboo grove and trees rustling in the wind.

Most of what we surveyed never even made it onto this site. This book is a further cut from what did. Our editor bathed in every onsen and sauna in it, and wrote only what they confirmed on the ground.
