Two large communal baths: the dome-style, open and airy "Taiyoden," and the sandstone-floored "Meigetsuden," which is inspired by a gentle full moon. These baths make lavish use of the weak alkaline waters of Awara Onsen, known for their soft, enveloping feel on the body. In Taiyoden, guests can bathe while listening to the sound of a waterfall and enjoy a rustic open-air bath, while in Meigetsuden they can relax in a beautiful setting surrounded by smooth, slip-resistant Indian sandstone. Each bath has its own distinct character, offering a famous hot spring that gently melts away daily fatigue.
