About Kyuujitsu-yu

Kyuujitsu-yu is a bathing facility in Jozankei Onsen, Minami Ward, Sapporo, Hokkaido. Located inside Kyuujitsu Building, a new landmark in Jozankei, it offers a soothing space that bridges the gap between everyday life and the extraordinary. Here, you can enjoy a rich hot spring blend made from multiple self-springing sources that emerge from the riverbed of the Toyohira River, with indoor baths, an open-air bath, and an ergonomic reclining bath. It also features a sauna where you can face yourself in a pitch-dark space, as well as a deep cold plunge bath with black silica set in it. With a lounge, restaurant, and hotel on-site, it is the perfect place to spend a quiet, immersive adults-only holiday.

Shimonoyu Blend

A rich natural hot spring made by blending different sources from Shimonoyu, which naturally spring from the banks of the Toyohira River. Minerals such as iron blend into the water, creating a full-bodied texture that is a defining feature. It can be enjoyed in both the indoor bath and the open-air bath, and the ergonomic reclining bath lets you enjoy a long soak in a relaxed position without overheating. After bathing, the skin feels moist and well-hydrated, and the warmth lingers for a long time.

A pitch-dark sauna room with five tiers of seating and the lighting reduced to an absolute minimum. In a space ruled by silence, you can spend a meditative time deeply facing yourself. Self-löyly is available using herbal distilled aroma water, filling the room with a pleasant fragrance and gentle heat that encourages a satisfying sweat throughout the body.

Black Silica Cold Plunge Bath

A deep cold plunge bath with black silica from Kaminokuni Town, Hokkaido, set at the bottom. Thanks to the effects of the black silica, the water feels exceptionally smooth on the skin, offering a crisp chill while still wrapping the body in a gentle sense of refreshment. It is located right next to the sauna room, allowing for a smooth transition into cooling down.
