Main bathhouse
A main bathhouse where you can enjoy water from its own source, rising from 1,300 m (4,265 ft) underground, in two baths: an indoor bath and an open-air bath. In Norikura Kogen, where most springs are sulfur springs, only this water is colorless and clear. It is a hydrogen carbonate spring in which calcium, magnesium and sodium are evenly balanced, rich in natural carbonation and minerals, a rare water you can also drink. The indoor bath is walled entirely in glass with open views, and the green of white birches and old-growth forest fills your field of vision. Sink into the open-air bath and the clear highland air surrounds you, and at night a sky full of stars streams overhead.
