About Kyukamura Echizen-Mikuni

Kyukamura Echizen-Mikuni is a resort hotel in Sakai, Fukui Prefecture. It stands on high ground in Echizen-Kaga Kaigan Quasi-National Park, and every guest room faces the Sea of Japan. The water is a natural sodium-calcium chloride spring, with an indoor bath that looks out to sea through large glass windows and a garden open-air bath with the sea close at hand. Bathing to the sound of the surf is a time you can have only here. The after-bath corner has massage chairs and shelves of manga, and inside there is a restaurant serving Echizen seafood and a shop. In front of the hotel spreads a vast lawn with a walking path leading to the sea, and it also makes a base for sightseeing at Tojinbo. Day bathing is also available.

The main bathhouse

A natural sodium-calcium chloride onsen that rises on high ground facing the Sea of Japan. In the indoor bath, large glass windows open toward the sea, so you can gaze at the horizon while sunk in the water. The garden open-air bath has the sea close at hand, and you can soak at leisure to the sound of the surf. The salt typical of a chloride spring softly envelops the skin, and after you get out, warmth lingers deep in the body for a long time. It is said to relieve sensitivity to cold and muscle aches and to promote beautiful skin, and it slowly eases a body chilled by the Echizen sea wind.
