The Sauna Created with Seriousness by APA of the World

On this day, after leaving "Spa Alps" in the evening, I headed to my accommodation at APA Hotel after having sushi at Toyama Station. Having enjoyed delicious sushi and had the best sauna experience at "Spa Alps," all that was left was to sleep...
Normally, that might be the case, but not for me. I enter the sauna at night too. Moreover, I had information that there was a wonderful sauna at my accommodation for the night, "APA Hotel Stay Toyama." The concept of "APA Hotel Stay Toyama" is not just an "extra sauna" that you find in a typical hotel, but a level that can stand alone as a sauna facility, allowing for day-use bathing as well. I checked in with excitement, wondering what kind of sauna awaited me.
Upon entering the large bath area, I was first surprised by its size. It clearly exceeds hotel standards. Noteworthy is the luxurious relaxation space, with over ten chairs lined up in the open-air area. Additionally, there is a separate indoor relaxation space with chairs as well. As for the crucial sauna, in addition to the main sauna room that can accommodate about 20 people (with automatic löyly), there are five private saunas where you can perform self-löyly, a luxurious setup. The cold plunge bath features five individual pot baths using underground water from the blessings of the Tateyama mountain range. I haven't seen such a luxurious hotel sauna very often. If I were a businessman with frequent business trips to Toyama, I would definitely choose to stay at "APA Hotel Stay Toyama."
Now that I've checked the layout, I decided to enter the sauna immediately. Starting with the main sauna. As soon as I entered, the automatic löyly began, and an intense heat wave pierced my skin. It's as if I was being welcomed. This main sauna also has air vents to distribute the steam generated by the löyly throughout the sauna room. Sitting on the top bench, sweat burst out all at once. Having done eight sets at Spa Alps during the day, I was already warmed up. After sweating for about five minutes, I decided to go to the cold plunge bath.
Exiting the main sauna, I rinsed off in the shower and headed to the open-air area with the cold plunge bath. Here, I felt a bit of dissatisfaction. While the private pot bath is nice, it is very cramped. You have to fold your body quite a bit to submerge up to your shoulders. For reference, I am 170cm tall and slender, and I felt cramped, so those larger than me would feel even more so. I think a slightly larger pot bath would allow for a more relaxed experience. Additionally, I was concerned that the cold plunge bath was not a continuous flow. A sensor is installed in the pot, and water automatically flows in when the water level is low, but it stops once it reaches a certain level, so there is no overflow. As a result, dirt floats on the surface. If they claim to use underground water from Tateyama, I think it would enhance the sauna facility's appeal if they used it more lavishly with a continuous flow, but there might be reasons they can't.
Nevertheless, the temperature is set at 16 degrees, and it still cools the body effectively. I cooled my body thoroughly and lay down in the outdoor relaxation space.
For the second set, I moved to the self-löyly sauna. This is a completely private sauna, ensuring privacy. I listened to music and thoroughly reflected on myself. As I carefully looked back on the first day of my trip, I started sweating quite a bit. I added more löyly to quickly raise the perceived temperature. After that, I cooled my body in the cold plunge bath, concluding the sauna session for the day.
Upon leaving the large bath area, there was a lounge near the elevator where high-quality massage chairs were available for free use. Ending the day with a sauna and a massage. It's a perfect flow. I returned to my room and drifted into a dream.

A rich selection of local dishes and seafood bowls! Breakfast at "APA Hotel Stay Toyama"
I woke up at 6 AM the next morning. After about 8 hours of sleep, it was the perfect wake-up. My routine doesn't change even when traveling. I brushed my teeth and went out for a morning walk. I decided to have breakfast after strolling around the hotel. One of APA Hotel's greatest attractions is its delicious breakfast. Especially this time, I could indulge in the seafood and local dishes of Hokuriku. I enjoyed the specialty dishes in a buffet style. As shown in the photo, the "seafood bowl" was exquisite. I was able to charge up with the best energy for the second day ahead.
The facility I will visit on the second day of the Hokuriku sauna trip is a highly acclaimed sauna theme park in Kurobe City. Above all, it has my favorite type of sauna. What kind of sauna is it? It is a "wood-fired sauna." The sound of burning wood, the flames, the scent, and the gentle heat from a natural heat source provide supreme relaxation. Furthermore, the facility uses Kurobe's famous water for the cold plunge bath, which is continuously flowing and drinkable. You can have a wild experience of gulping down natural water while in the cold plunge bath.
That facility is "Yuya FUROBAKKA."
