Yunoya Natural Hot Spring Yukichiro Experience Story

The Conclusion of the Nagoya Sauna Journey

📅November 24, 202512:00
The Nagoya sauna journey has finally reached its last destination. Although it's bittersweet, I intend to fully enjoy the last facility. The warm-up is already complete, as I visited 'Canal Resort' and finished one session before coming here. I arrived around noon, but the parking lot was full. It raised my expectations, thinking it must be a great facility overflowing with people from the morning. After checking in, I explored the premises. The first floor is mainly restaurants, the second floor is the large public bath, and the third floor consists of a stone sauna and a lounge with reclining chairs. The facility is large and seems capable of accommodating a considerable number of people. The stone sauna appears to be particularly popular, bustling with women. After undressing in the locker room, I passed through the entrance of the large public bath. A neon sign reading 'Zero Second Sauna' caught my eye. This is the famous sauna of 'Yunoya Natural Hot Spring Yukichiro.' I'll savor it later. The indoor bath mainly features a mix of natural hot spring and carbonated spring baths, along with a sauna. I was a bit concerned about the absence of a cold plunge bath in the indoor area, but I would later understand the reason. Moving to the open-air area, there's a layout featuring a rock bath lavishly using natural hot spring water, a mist sauna using natural hot spring water, and a source cold plunge bath, utilizing the abundant hot spring water gushing from underground. The outdoor air bath space is also well-equipped, with many people losing consciousness from relaxation even during the day. I, too, plan to join them in a few minutes. After cleansing myself, I first entered the main sauna, the 'Zero Second Sauna.' I couldn't help but laugh upon entering. There are two cold plunge baths inside the sauna room. The temperatures are ideally set at 15°C and 20°C, and it's natural water. You can cool your body heated in the sauna right there. It's the same experience as the forest sauna at 'Wellbe Imaike.' The sauna room is also very spacious, seemingly able to accommodate about 40 people comfortably. The stove is a double setup with a far-infrared heater and a stone type, with regular automatic löyly. The high humidity makes it comfortable. After warming up for a while, it was time to enter the cold plunge bath. The cold plunge bath is inside the sauna room. You can wash off the sweat right there and soak in the natural water cold plunge bath. It feels good. It feels good, but ideally, the cold plunge bath should be outside the sauna room. The body cools from the neck down, but the head remains hot. While the experience is fresh, it lacks a sense of refreshment. The heat of the head is distracting, making it hard to relax. It's slightly disappointing, given the pleasant natural water cold plunge bath. I moved to the outdoor air bath space and rested for a while. For the second session, I entered the mist sauna. The mist at 'Yunoya Natural Hot Spring Yukichiro' uses natural hot spring water as is. In the sauna room filled with the scent of hot springs, I was enveloped in intense mist. I was steamed quickly, reaching my limit soon. I entered the cold plunge bath located right outside the mist sauna. It seems to be a cold plunge bath cooled from natural hot spring water. The texture wasn't bad, but the strong chlorine smell was so overpowering that it made me forget it was a natural blessing. While enjoying the outdoor air bath, I reflected on this sauna journey. Starting with the pre-festival, I got caught in a massive traffic jam, but I managed to visit all the facilities I wanted. However, it seems I'll have to return to Nagoya once more. Among the facilities I had checked beforehand, there were places I couldn't visit on this trip. - Natural Hot Spring Urban Quar SPA & LIVING - Sauna & Capsule Fuji Sakae - Apeze - KIWAMI SAUNA I plan to visit these four facilities on my next journey. I intend to plan another trip that surpasses this one.
I enjoyed a delicious salt-grilled mackerel set meal at the facility's Ootoya restaurant.
I enjoyed a delicious salt-grilled mackerel set meal at the facility's Ootoya restaurant.
I had a meal at the facility's restaurant and left 'Yunoya Natural Hot Spring Yukichiro.' It will be a long journey from Nagoya to Mie, Shiga, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyogo, and Tokushima, so I plan to indulge in memories of the trip while expanding my imagination for the next journey. 3 nights and 4 days, a total of 7 facilities. The Nagoya sauna journey concludes here. Thank you, Nagoya.
