About OND SAUNA

"OND SAUNA" is an outdoor sauna facility in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture. Based on the Five Elements philosophy, three types of sauna, "wood," "metal," and "fire," are scattered throughout the forest, each offering a different experience. The wood sauna invites you to climb a spiral deck and merge with the forest among the trees, while a large wood-burning stove, one of the biggest in Japan, warms you deeply. The metal sauna has a mirrored exterior that blends into the forest, and the fire sauna opens the heart around a campfire. With a cold plunge bath using free-flowing natural groundwater and open-air bathing spaces on the rooftop and surrounded by forest, you can experience Takeo's nature with all five senses.

Co-edSauna

Fire Sauna

A campfire sauna themed around "passion." A campfire is placed at the center, creating a space where mind and body can relax and warm up around the flames. The layout naturally encourages conversation among friends and family, making it a place to deepen bonds. As you watch the flickering fire, thoughts and feelings that are usually left unspoken come to the surface.

Metal Sauna

A fully mirrored sauna themed around "order." The stainless-steel mirror surface reflects the forest, and it stands in the middle of nature like a piece of inorganic art. The interior is finished with warm pine wood, and by sitting on benches set one level higher than the stove, heat circulates thoroughly all the way to your feet. In this serene space, you can face yourself and experience a deeply satisfying totonou.

Wood Sauna

A sauna themed around "growth." Climbing the spiral deck brings you to a height where you can feel the forest at the same eye level as the trees. With a structure that connects the sauna room on the first floor to the open-air bathing space on the rooftop, the process of rising itself becomes part of the experience. The gentle heat produced by one of the largest wood-burning stoves in Japan slowly seeps into the core of your body. The benches are arranged at angles that make conversation easy, and the sauna is open as a mixed-gender bathing area where swimwear is required.

Co-edCold Bath

Natural Groundwater

A cold plunge bath using free-flowing natural groundwater. Fresh water is constantly replenished, and its high clarity and crisp coldness envelop the body. It quickly tightens a body deeply warmed by the wood-burning stove, and the contrast between heat and cold accelerates totonou. The water is soft and gentle on the body, making it comfortable to stay in for longer. Located near each sauna, it allows for smooth hot-and-cold alternating bathing.
