This is my last sauna trip of 2025. As a fitting way to wrap up the year, there was a place I had long wanted to visit: Kumamoto Prefecture, home to Yurakusu, known as the sacred sauna of the west. After finishing work on December 26th, I set off immediately. An extraordinary sauna journey in Kumamoto is about to begin.
