A sauna where you can feel as if you are diving together with a whale traveling through the deep ocean. The sauna space creates an overwhelming sense of immersion, as though you were inside the deep sea or within a whale's belly. Whale spouting-inspired effects and carefully curated music fill the room, allowing you to enjoy a supreme relaxation experience that feels as if your body and mind are slowly sinking into the depths.
An original sauna inspired by Yobuko's famous squid, built with soft curves. Large indoor windows open onto the atmospheric sights of the fishing town and Yobuko Port. löyly with herbs and squid ink carries the scent of the sea, letting you spend a pleasant moment as your mind and body drift gently, as if rocked by the waves.
A stately sauna made from bricks and earth actually used in a Karatsu ware kiln with 400 years of history. It offers a powerful heat experience, as if you yourself had become a vessel being fired inside the kiln. When you perform self-löyly with rapidly circulating Karatsu tea, its toasty, mellow aroma fills the room and promotes deep sweating that engages all five senses.

There are three sauna rooms, each built on an entirely different concept. The Whale Sauna aims for an immersive feeling reminiscent of the deep sea or the inside of a whale's belly, with effects mimicking a spout and music echoing through the space. The Kiln Sauna uses bricks and clay once actually used in a Karatsu-ware kiln, and a self-service löyly with Karatsu tea fills the room with a toasty aroma. The Squid Sauna is built with soft curves, with the port and fishing town of Yobuko spreading out beyond a large window. As for the cold plunge baths, one repurposes an actual squid holding tank, while another is a glass-walled bath that projects out over open air. Tattoos are also welcome.

A quiet dry sauna adjoining the large bath area, where you can work up a solid sweat between rounds of bathing in the many low-temperature pools. After sweating, cool your flushed skin in the cold plunge bath, then step straight into the clear air of the open-air area. The row of open-air baths overlooking the ridges of Mt. Tenzan doubles as the outdoor relaxation space itself. The hot spring source flows naturally at 43 tons per day, and long soaks in relatively low-temperature water are what define this onsen's character. Between the heat and the cold lies a third place to settle — the mild bath — and this structure comes together completely amid the quiet of the mountain valley.

A 90°C Stadium-Style Sauna Where About 70 People Sit on Tiered Steps
A stadium-style sauna with one of the largest capacities in Japan. Approximately 70 people sit on tiered seating and can experience Finnish-style löyly while two large screens display visuals. Waves of heat sweep across the vast space, creating a special, stadium-like atmosphere where everyone perspires together. The convection of heat and steam envelops the whole body, producing an overwhelming sense of scale and drawing out sweat. The löyly experience for large groups is a major attraction not found elsewhere.
A women-only sauna offering automatic löyly once every hour (1 time per hour) with carefully selected aromatic scents. Authentic Finnish-style löyly is delivered automatically, filling the room with waves of heat accompanied by the aroma. There is anticipation in waiting for the löyly timing, and you can sweat slowly while being surrounded by fragrance. The pleasant heat and the calming effect of the aroma create a space for both physical and mental relaxation. The sauna is designed from a female perspective for a comfortable experience.

"ISO" means "big" in Finnish. True to its name, the ISO Sauna has a room temperature of about 90°C, with stadium-style tiered seating spreading out across a space that could fit as many as 70 people, along with two large screens. Even with a large crowd seated, there's no sense of crowding, allowing you to warm up thoroughly. The cold plunge bath you head to afterward is 16°C and designed to hold 20 people. You can stretch your body out fully to cool down, sinking in without worrying about waiting for others. The open-air area is surrounded by a bamboo grove, with more than 25 reclining chairs. You can rest amid the night breeze rustling the bamboo leaves and go straight into your next round. The facility also features a hot spring bath fed directly from its source.

Three Sauna Buildings Scattered Through the Forest, with Outdoor Relaxation Among the Trees
A campfire sauna themed around "passion." A campfire is placed at the center, creating a space where mind and body can relax and warm up around the flames. The layout naturally encourages conversation among friends and family, making it a place to deepen bonds. As you watch the flickering fire, thoughts and feelings that are usually left unspoken come to the surface.
A fully mirrored sauna themed around "order." The stainless-steel mirror surface reflects the forest, and it stands in the middle of nature like a piece of inorganic art. The interior is finished with warm pine wood, and by sitting on benches set one level higher than the stove, heat circulates thoroughly all the way to your feet. A sauna themed around "growth." Climbing the spiral deck brings you to a height where you can feel the forest at the same eye level as the trees. The Wood Sauna is a single building where the sauna room, cold plunge bath, and rooftop outdoor relaxation area are stacked vertically. Inside the sauna room there's no TV or music, only the sound and scent of burning firewood. The cold plunge bath is fed directly with natural groundwater, 130cm deep. Climb the spiral staircase and you'll reach 3.5 meters above ground, level with the treetops, where the forests of Takeo spread out before you. The Gold Sauna has mirror-finished stainless steel walls reflecting the surrounding trees, with a pine-wood interior, and a single-person cold plunge bath set beside it. The Fire Sauna has a bonfire at its center. The three buildings are set apart within the forest, and walking the paths between them, all you hear is birdsong and the sound of wind.

An iki stove sits at the center of the dim sauna room, and pouring house-made hojicha for a self-service löyly instantly fills the air with a rich, mellow aroma. Deep in the open-air area stands a wood-burning stove of a size you've never seen before. From the stacked sauna stones comes the distinctively soft heat unique to firewood. The medicinal herb steam sauna has a room temperature of only around 50°C, yet feels close to 80°C, with steam rising from beneath the seats and the scent of herbs deepening your breath. There are two types of cold plunge bath: one using cooled water from the Takeo Onsen hot spring source, and another using Takeo's groundwater in a semi-underground setting. No conversation can be heard — everyone listens only to their own breathing.
