Honsouyu VISON SAUNA
Honsouyu VISON SAUNA is a day-use hot spring facility located in Taki Town, Taki District, Mie Prefecture. Its most notable feature is the herbal bath jointly developed by Mie University and Rohto Pharmaceutical, allowing visitors to enjoy the '72 Seasonal Baths' that change approximately every five days, as well as 'Herbal Baths' blended with mugwort, mandarin oranges, loquat leaves, and more. In the open-air bath 'Mizukagami no Yu,' you can experience a sense of openness with a water basin reflecting the blue sky and greenery, while 'Kouin no Yu' offers views of Taki's nature with a light display. Opened in April 2024, the VISON Sauna is a rare two-story sauna hut in Japan (the first in the Tokai region), equipped with one wood stove and two electric stoves, allowing you to choose different temperature zones depending on your seating position. You can spend a blissful time watching the flickering flames of the stove while being enveloped in the scent of herbs. After the sauna, you can cool down quickly in a massive wooden barrel cold plunge bath, unique in Japan, with dedicated saunas and cold plunge baths for both men and women. The adjacent Honsouyu Cafe offers fermented drinks made from fruits and rice malt, and you can also enjoy Japanese cuisine at 'Kasaan Sanpi-Ryouron' and the mineral mist bath 'Le Furo.' Located within the commercial resort facility VISON, it offers a unique bathing experience that blends Japanese and Nordic elements.
