An exquisite inn where you can unwind in the spectacular scenery of the Northern Alps and natural hot springs

Gifu Takayama City

"Takumi no Yado Miyama Ouan" is a hot spring inn in Takayama, Gifu Prefecture. Its beautiful wooden lattice construction, made with Hida’s famed timber, is set against the backdrop of the Northern Alps. The public bath was renovated in 2023–2024, and a dry sauna was newly added. Guests can also enjoy a crisp, cold cold plunge bath, reclining baths, and abundant natural hot spring water. Four atmospheric private baths that can be used free of charge as often as you like without a reservation, plus rooms with open-air baths fed directly from the source, are also part of its appeal.
