Nara Kenko Land
One of the largest bathing facilities in the Kansai region. On this day, I tried "akasuri" for the first time, which had been a dream for 10 years. The authentic akasuri by a Korean practitioner produced a surprising amount of dead skin, like large eraser shavings. I felt reborn with smooth skin all over. There are five types of saunas using nano water, and for an additional 330 yen, you can enjoy a hot stone spa. The natural hot springs are also extensive, and the lunch buffet after the akasuri was a satisfying Japanese meal. I took a one-hour nap in the huge reclining room, making it an incredibly pleasant day. It's a facility where you can experience something new, like taking a step up a staircase.

Nijinoyu Nishiyamato
Located in Kamimaki Town, Kitakatsuragi District, Nara Prefecture, "Niji no Yu Nishiyamato Branch" offers a natural hot spring and authentic sauna. The high-temperature sauna with radon ceramic tiles delivers deep heat to the core of the body, while the deep cold plunge bath quietly lowers your body temperature. The open-air source spring pot bath, with its chloride spring's unique heat retention, allows you to enjoy the afterglow for a long time. The exquisite cycle of heat and cold sharpens the mind and body, providing a calm and totonou experience. Once you visit, it has a nostalgic charm that makes you want to return.

Nara Royal Hotel La Royal Spa
Located in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, "Nara Royal Hotel La Royal Spa" makes luxurious use of groundwater. The Finnish-style sauna is 90°C, and the cold plunge bath using groundwater feels like 18°C, with an impressively soft water quality. The sauna is spacious, with an iki stove in the center. The aufguss events with music are attractive, but the quiet löyly is also charming. I took advantage of the music malfunction to totonou in silence. It's a perfect facility to conclude your sightseeing, offering a supreme experience that fulfills both body and mind.

Gosho Hot Spring
Located in Gose City, Nara Prefecture, this facility is a renovated public bathhouse with a history dating back to 1916. The Finnish-style sauna with earthen walls is notable for its gentle heat retention, enveloping you in soft warmth. The lemongrass scent and self-löyly are exquisite, and the 14°C cold plunge bath and outdoor relaxation on log chairs provide a quiet and comfortable space. There were unexpected happenings during TV interviews and encounters with regulars, creating a warm atmosphere unique to a local public bath. The exquisite curry udon at nearby "Shinchi Irifune" was the only curry udon in my life where I drank all the soup. Engaging in sauna discussions with the receptionist offered experiences not possible in larger facilities.

Located in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, "Yurara no Yu Nara Branch" is attractive for its natural spring water and diverse facilities. The open-air bath "Suzaku no Yu" offers a sense of openness that feels like becoming one with nature, soothing the entire body with its comforting warmth. The sauna is a high-temperature 90°C, allowing you to sweat thoroughly, and the 12°C cold plunge bath provides a quick cool-down. In the outdoor relaxation space, you can enjoy deep relaxation surrounded by birdsong and the sound of the wind. The women-only hot stone spa offers a pleasant warmth, with plenty of features to keep you entertained during long stays. The dining area and body care services are also extensive, making it a supreme facility that fulfills both body and mind.
Yurara no Yu Oshikuma Branch
A facility located in Nara City, Nara Prefecture. It is a serendipitous facility that makes you realize the charm of changing plans during a trip. Due to Nara Health Land being fully booked, I had to change my plans suddenly, but it turned out to be a great decision. After sweating profusely while strolling through Nara Park, I cooled down instantly in a 15°C cold plunge bath and sweated thoroughly in an electric stove sauna. Lying on a bench in the open-air bath, I gazed at the Nara sky and enjoyed the sound of the river during the outdoor relaxation. The situation with fewer guests also contributed to a comfortable experience. There is always a story in the process of going to a sauna. That story is life itself. It's a facility where you can enjoy the story of a trip through plan changes.
