Saga Takeo City
A hot spring facility in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, worthy of being called a sacred site in Japan's sauna world. In addition to saunas with distinctly different atmospheres for men and women, it offers a sauna with an extra-large wood stove burning away, herbal steam, self löyly in the men's bath, and a kuegel sauna in the women's bath. The cooled deep water bath using Takeo Onsen source water and the outdoor bathing area wrapped in TeamLab art are outstanding. From the moment you are greeted by the forest of lamps in the darkness, your heart starts racing, and you surrender your whole body to the crackling sound and aroma of the wood fire. With even the salt pudding included, the experience is extraordinarily complete, making this an exceptional facility where all five senses are mobilized to reach totonou.

A bathing facility in Tara Town, Fujitsu District, Saga Prefecture, with a full ocean view overlooking Ariake Sea and Mt. Fugendake. The spruce-solid-wood Gravity Sauna and Japan's first Grid Sauna equipped with an AINO heater are superb, and the deep cold water bath fed by natural underground water flowing from the Tara mountain range can be entered while standing, a unique feature. When you totonou on the terrace while feeling the sea breeze, the boundary between sea and sky seems to dissolve. Wrapped in a stunning view that makes you feel the moon's gravity, before you know it you've finished the best 3 sets of your life. This is truly one of Saga's most addictive, top-tier facilities.

An outdoor sauna facility in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, where you can experience the Five Elements philosophy in the forest. The wood sauna is slowly heated by one of Japan's largest wood stoves, and the cold plunge bath fed by natural underground water is an astonishingly mellow 17°C. The outdoor bathing area surrounded by trees and the openness of the rooftop are exceptional, with nothing to hear but birdsong and the sound of the wind. Combined with the warm guidance of the sauna keeper, before I knew it I had completely entrusted my heart there. It is a superb facility that frees the senses and reminds you of the joy of becoming one with nature.

A day-trip hot spring facility in Saga City, Saga Prefecture, proudly offering a beautiful-skin bath from its private natural spring flowing continuously from 1,126 m underground, known as Saga no Yu-dokoro KOMOREBI. You can bathe in the heat of the stadium-style ISO Sauna, one of the largest in Japan, and luxuriate in the aromatic HAJU Sauna, wrapped in the steam of automatic löyly. Feel the natural breeze in the outdoor barrel sauna, then soothe your body and mind in the open-air bath overlooking the bamboo grove or the high-concentration carbonated spring. In the rest area, which includes a tatami corner and a nest-like relaxation space, the moment you are lured into a comfortable sleep is pure bliss. Your skin becomes smooth and refined, and the fatigue of everyday life melts away one by one in this superb facility.

A superb hotel sauna facility in Takeo City, Saga Prefecture, designed for totonou and in harmony with Takeo's nature. It offers four types of saunas, including one that combines a custom wood stove with a Bonatherm system, as well as saunas using kiln material from Black Muta ware, and the 150 cm-deep cold water bath is deep enough to submerge yourself up to your head. The alkaline simple spring 'Bijin no Yu,' with a pH of 9.15, is also wonderful. It was worth taking a taxi there early in the morning, as my body and mind gradually loosened in the quiet atmosphere. This is a place where you can forget the noise of everyday life and entrust yourself to the spacious calm of Takeo.
