📍 Kanagawa
🥇 1TOP1

Skyspa YOKOHAMA

Skyspa YOKOHAMA

Located in Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture, the urban spa 'Sky Spa YOKOHAMA' is directly connected to Yokohama Station. Situated on the 14th floor of the Sky Building, it features an authentic löyly sauna made with Kelo wood and Abachi wood. The high-temperature IKI stove sauna and the 15°C amethyst cold plunge bath warm and cool the body from the core. The artificial hot spring 'Hinoki Calcium Onsen' offers a carbonated calcium bath that provides relaxation as if floating on clouds. You can also experience meditation and yoga in the sauna theater, offering blissful moments to free your mind and body. As a stay-type spa, it also includes a capsule hotel, making it a superb facility to enjoy an extraordinary experience.

📍 Tokyo
🥈 2TOP2

Sauna Tokyo

Sauna Tokyo

Located in Minato City, Tokyo, 'Sauna Tokyo' is a cutting-edge urban sauna. It features five types of sauna rooms, each offering a different steaming experience. The three types of cold plunge baths—strong cold, medium cold, and mild cold—are designed with clear cooling pathways, ensuring a perfect finish for each set. The convenience of being just a one-minute walk from Akasaka Station and being open 24 hours is also noteworthy. The relaxation space has over 60 seats, providing a relaxing environment that makes you forget the hustle and bustle of the city. It's a superb facility where you can enjoy an extraordinary sauna experience while still in the city.

📍 Chiba
🥉 3TOP3

Spa Metsä Otaka Ryusenji no Yu

Spa Metsä Otaka Ryusenji no Yu

Located in Nagareyama City, Chiba Prefecture, 'Spa Metsä Ootaka Ryusenji no Yu' is a large bathing facility with excellent access. The Dragon Sauna is 90°C, the Medi Sauna is 85°C, and the moisturizing salt sauna helps to condition the skin. You can fully enjoy the cold stimulation with the 'Forest Cold Water Bath' at 12°C, the 'Metsä Cold Water Bath' at 14°C, and the 'Deep Water Bath.' The natural hot spring of the chloride spring type thoroughly heals the body, and when wrapped in the pleasant breeze during an outdoor bath, the noise of everyday life fades away. With plenty of stone saunas and relaxation spaces, it is a healing paradise where you can spend the whole day.

📍 Kumamoto
🏅 4

Yulax

Yulax

Located in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, 'Yurax' is a 24-hour hot spring and sauna facility known as the 'Western Sanctuary.' The main sauna is characterized by a pleasant aroma and heat, and the 14°C cold plunge bath with Aso's underground water has a silky texture. The moment of totonou during the outdoor bath is like heaven. On this day, I experienced an aufguss event and was moved by the performance unfolding right before my eyes. It is a facility that can be enjoyed comprehensively, truly a jewel box of the sauna world.

Yuya Suizen -Luxury Sauna & Spa-

Yuya Suizen -Luxury Sauna & Spa-

Located in Kumamoto City, Kumamoto Prefecture, 'Yuya Suizen -Luxury Sauna & Spa-' is a superb facility where Japanese culture and sauna merge. The self-löyly capable hinoki sauna is about 100°C, and the original aroma water scent soothes the mind. The 18°C cold plunge bath using Aso's spring water is characterized by a softness that feels like becoming one with the water. I spent a luxurious time enveloped in the scent of hinoki and aroma steam in a sauna reserved for myself. In a Japanese-modern space, it is a wonderful facility where you can sharpen your senses and refresh both body and mind.

📍 Hyogo
🏅 6

Kobe Sauna & Spa

Kobe Sauna & Spa

Located in Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture, this is a long-established sauna I have been visiting since high school. The Finnish sauna, enveloped in the scent of Kelo wood and Vihta imported directly from Finland, offers an exquisite experience in a meditative space without TV or BGM. The combination of the 11.7°C cold plunge bath and outdoor bath is perfect. I visited during Typhoon No. 18 with a 24-hour sauna unlimited stay plan, enjoying the outdoor bath while being hit by the typhoon's rain at night, and experiencing three sets of morning sauna at 4:30 AM in a private state. With the natural hot spring 'Kami no Yu,' exquisite ginger pork and fried chicken, and a reclining room for naps, it is a facility with a sense of security like a home sauna.
